Development of technologies and technical disciplines has considerably improved the quality of human life; however, it gave rise to man-induced changes in the environment. Besides, conscious and unconscious human impact on the living environment inevitably jeopardized its quality. A commitment to protect humans in their workplace and living environmentis the goal of the employees at the Faculty of Occupational Safety. This journal has been designed as a much-needed resource for presenting the new research in the field of occupational and environmental safety to the scientific and professional audience. The idea was launched by the Centre for Technical Systems Safety and Center for Distribution of Developmental Strategies of the Faculty of Occupational Safety in Niš. Our goal is to promote the journal to become a linkage between the academic and scientific institutions, employees and individuals who work towards the improvement of safe work and the quality of life. I sincerely hope that the authors will manage to report their innovative ideas through well-written and structured articles that will be published in the Safety Engineering journal.

The International Journal of Occupational and Environmental Safety (IJOOES) is an interdisciplinary journal with peer-review promoted by Sociedade Portuguesa de Segurança e Higiene Ocupacionais with support from Biblioteca da FEUP, for publication of original research. Literature review articles are also accepted. It covers basic and applied research in all areas of safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, biomechanics and health, including traffic, workplaces, home, and community. IJOOES seeks to engage the global scientific community including academic researchers, safety professionals and practitioners, engineers, health professionals, psychologists, social scientists, government agencies, policy makers and corporate decision makers.
Facta Universitatis, Series: Working and Living Environmental Protection (FU Work Liv Env Prot) is an open access peer-reviewed international journal published by University of Niš (Republic of Serbia). In this journal are published high quality and refereed papers three times per year. Papers are reporting original or extended versions of already published conference or journal papers. Papers for publication must provide originality, relevance and to have credibility. Papers submitted for publication must be written in English. The main idea of this journal FU „Work Liv Env Prot“ is to publish papers in the field of engineering science and environmental protection, fast and without delay, in hope that it will serve as a source of information for researchers, search scholars, industrialists, etc. and will be an inspiration for the development papers in the previously mentioned fields of science.
