Conference Themes

OESEM Organising Committee welcomes papers from a wide variety of interdisciplinary and theoretical perspectives. 
All submissions are organised into the themes listed below:

SAFETY SCIENCE AND RISK MANAGEMENT 
Safety science – challenges and research trends; Concepts and philosophy of risk management; Risk management vs. Safety management; Near-miss accident management; Leading the future of safety by learning from the past.

OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT
Technologies and technical systems of occupational safety (devices, equipment, etc.); Physical and chemical aspects of occupational safety (noise, vibration, chemical hazards, etc.); Social and humanistic aspects of occupational safety (educational, legal, economic, sociological, ethical, psychological, medical); Occupational safety and health management systems - perspectives on risk assessment and management paradigms (methods, procedures, instructions, application of the ISO series of standards, workplace inspections; OHS leadership, barriers to OHSMS success, benefits and future developments); Health promotion and well-being at work programmes.
